I have a SF3:NG set up in my cab right now and I just got a 2nd Impact in the mail today. Now from what I have heard New Generation does not have enough ram to run 2I. My question is if I were to take out all the ram sticks that came with the NG board, and put them in the 2I board, would I be able to run New Gen by just replacing the cd and cart? Would it be enough to run 3rd Strike (if I ever have the cash to afford it)?
There seems to be 4 or 5 ram slots on the top and two on the bottom. Are they all the same or do they have specific functions?

I have a few more questions so if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.

I am trying to figure out what setting stereo is in the system config menu. The problem being my SF3:2I is JPN....and I can't read it. Here are a couple pics of the service menu. I think I have the stereo/mono option selected.

If any Japaneses literate folks can tell me which setting is which that would be great.
I know the first setting makes it so that whenever my character is on the far right the sound fx (like a fireball) become softer and not as loud. And before anyone asks yes I have a q-sound amp installed and the board is connected with the red and white stereo connectors. But it could be that something has come loose.

My next problem is that I can't seem to select the LK (sk) player costume in 2I. The button works fine in game. But whenever it gets to the player select screen the button does not respond. It is like that with both 1p and 2p sides.
I tried both of my cps3 motherboards and they both do the same thing. Do I have something wired wrong? It's odd cause light kick works fine everywhere else but there.

Lastly while I was switching the ram from one mobo to the next I noticed some wires had been soldered onto each of the boards. I was just wondering if anyone had any clue as to what they were for. Here are some pics:

Thanks in advance for any help.
