Well, my MVS console blew up yesterday.. luckily, the kick ass PSU has a built in protector of some kind and IS STILL WORKING! I re-designed the interior, made everything alot safer and more practical, and everything is all good now!

All that's left is a few cosmetic changes (better looking AV jacks, and a more practical S-video jack). everything else seems to be great!

Lesson learned from all this:

"Don't work with high voltage at 4 AM."

That's good news! The main thing is that you didn't hurt yourself bad though - just make sure you don't go playing with electricity again ;)

I got hurt even worse fixing it. It may not have been 4am, but I was getting stoned off the solder fumes... I ended up melting a part of my fingernail into the skin. Very... very painful. I also cut, stabbed and bruised myself all over. Trying to watch a movie, hang out with friends, and use a power drill all at once isnt a very safe thing to do. But hey, it's all fixed up.

nice one :-)

you will have to get some pictures up so we can see your work.

just keep an eye on the power supply temperature.

I too may start using lower power PSUs for these systems.

what board are you running?

Right now the one thats finished is the 2 slot.

I'm also working on a MV-1 (the big fucker), modding that into a console to give to a friend.
