He's low balled me in a past when I have tried to sell things by as much as 50%. When I told him that I wouldn't go that low, he would say stuff like, "you'll never get it sold at the price you're asking." In which case, I told him that I am not so broke that I need to sell my stuff. If it doesn't sell, so be it and I will just keep it."

I am sure there are tons of low ballers... but some people are way worse than others. Especially when they will probably try to flip it on ebay.

He flips all of this shit on ebay. He is simply trying to raise his profit margin by lowballing everyone.

haha. Wow- I sold a Die Hard Arcade last year (2 years ago?) for $250- with the understanding that the game + mobo was worth 100- $75 is nuts for that shipped!

ya know..... Ive had a fair share of problems with people on this site, however I generally keep it under my thumb for the most part as I dont really want to be involved in the drama, but this guy really annoys me. I listed a Puzzle Bobble 4 F3 cart with art and a F3 region modded motherboard for 75 up here a month or so back. Salinpac contacts me with lowball offer, 65.00 and he will buy it. hahah. I said no and I was in no hurry to sell it.

So he writes me a day later and offers 70 shipped, at this point I was like whatevs and agreed which ultimately was a better deal for him. I agreed with the stipulation that he paid immediately. But he didnt pay immediately, he diappears and starts avoiding PMs..... finally I sent him an email basically being like "what the fuck dude...." He writes me back and says sorry he needs to sell some things first before he has the money to buy this?!?! Wow. Asshole low balls when he does not even have money to spend....sounds like a sweet E-bay flipping operation he has going on there...hahah.

Anyways, guy finally pays me over a week later and actually has the audacity to try to rush me on getting the item shipped that day or the next for him. Not because he's excited and actually wants to play the shit though, because he wants to pawn them off on ebay.

Weeks laters I have asked him 2 times for feedback and he just ignores my PMs. I accused him of being a flipper and he's probably waiting for me to leave him a negative so he can feel good about himself and leave me one back. Checked ebay and sure enough he had listed the stuff for sale.

Pretty much though this guy comes to this forum to sniff out deals to re-sell on ebay and nothing else, he offers absolutely nothing to this site or community so why should he be tolerated? J-off's like this should be banned on principal for being shady vultures.

Nothing will be done about this i'm sure.

I'm pretty sure the people after my slugs are doing the same.

yeah that whole thing really chuffed me too but I avoided giving my opinion as I wasnt really involved in anyway, nor have I ever been involved in anything with Dean. I agree completely with what you guys are saying... there needs to be a zero tolerance policy for this sort of thing. There is no protection against scammers on these sites aside from members watching each others backs and alerting the public when something goes/seems awry. The second a "respected" forum member is excused for acting this way it becomes excusable for everyone to act this way and really debases all the efforts people have made to keep this a respectable and trusted marketplace.

While I agree with giving people the benefit of the doubt sometimes, especially friends..... there has to be an end to that when there is clearly a gross negligence of peoples trust and money.

You're not being an ass- just not contributing in any way that matters. I can buy a beat up MVSC2 cab for 3xx- but that doesn't stop the game from being pricey. All that aside- this Salinpac guy has lowballed just about everybody on the site to maintain his little flipping operation.

It's sad when neo-geo seems to be the place out of all the forums I frequent with the most amount of tools on it lately (hell- maybe myself included :P). It's a shame, though.

Low-balling in itself is not that grievous of an offense. If any of the traders here are dumb enough to take a low-baller up on an absurdly low offer, they probably deserve to be sheared. Now, if this low-baller is making deals with people, waffling on them and backing out, shitting up threads with inane replies, etc., disciplinary action may be warranted.
