And I have no idea what I need to do to get this to be a 6 button arcade.

I just got this arcade for 200 bucks at an auction.

Nice deal for 200, seems to be missing the Dimm board though.

1st board under your question is the JVS board.

Nice setup for only $200. Did it work at the auction? Like borman said it seems to be missing the Dimm board goes to the motherboard. I'm not for sure, but I'm thinking the second pic is the modem that is used for multiplayer/world modes.

I don't think any setup should have more parts than a pre-jamma machine.

Funny, I just picked up a Virtua Tennis in the same type cabinet yesterday, but I paid $300, and mine didn't come with a GD-ROM. You did very well, as long as the monitor at least works. These Wells-Gardner tri-sync monitors are notorious for problems.

I'm actually going to part mine out, use the hardware for my Blast City, and sell the monitor and cabinet to some friends, but if I were you, to make it a 6-button setup I'd simply buy a Blast City or Astro City control panel, which should be a perfect fit on yours. Then assuming the hardware works, you're all set.

Do know anywhere I can get those panels?

Also I need to find the degauss button on that cabinet

Try Yahoo! Japan, Akihabarashop, and Cosmicco; last I checked all of those had the panels you're looking for. They're not cheap, by the way. :(

I haven't seen a degauss button either, there might not be one; most US cabinets don't have those.

Wow, that's a fantastic deal, have to get to an auction. Been looking to get into the Naomi scene and I think I'd be much more eager if I could score a deal like yours. Congratulations.

The Naomi really is an interesting part of the gaming world. When I first got into it some months ago, I didn't really appreciate it much. However, lately I have gained considerable appreciation for it.

You should try out Sega-Naomi.com. It has a wealth of Naomi resources, and I learned a lot about it there.

You should have kept it "Universal", as there are so many great panels to swap in and out. VOOT, WSB2001, Outtrigger, Monkeyball, etc etc etc. Also, you can get 6 and 4 button repro sheet metal panels for pretty cheap. Nice deal on the cab in general, but I'd put the cp back, if it were me. lol

Your right but I rather get a sit down version for that. Also the molexes on this one are different so the cps like voot and outtrigger would not fit on this one. I'll probably sell this one and look for a net city one day...
