I'm looking for a little info. on the NO cd version of SFIII: Third Strike.

Basically you can change between version A or B any time you want, you just only need to load the actual disc once, is that how it works?

does it load faster than a normal cd version?

As far as I know you cannot change versions with the no CD version of 3s. With the CD version of course you can swap back and forth at will but you need to load the appropriate disc each time you want to do this which takes awhile.

The cartridge determines the region and "no cd" not the disc. The no cd version does not allow you to reload the game even if you hook up a drive and cd. You can however borrow a USA/JAPAN cartridge, load up the version you want and switch back to the asian cart. Of course the game will still be censored.

All versions load the game into the SIMMS so the load time is the same.

So a search on CPS3 here, you will find tons of info.

For the "regular version: there's no loading on the CD version when you play it. It does need to load the CD into ram when you FIRST use the game/upgrade/downgrade to a certain version. After that, it's all super fast.
