I was debating the idea a few days ago --but then Kid Aphex joined in with the spam threads so I wasn't sure if I should merge just DashK's, merch both DashK's and KA's, or merge them by topic (inter-user), or merge them all (inter-user) as well as a few other variants.

i've already beat initial d version 4, and i was playing hokuto no ken a couple weeks ago, and got bored and just walked away from the machine. fighters and shooters do nothing for me now. 90% of the boutique arcades here are fighters and shooters, and other games you can't play because of language barriers (card swiping games).
the only new games i like playing here are wangan maximum tune 3, initial d 4, guitar freaks, taiko no tatsujin (drum game) and that's about it.
after a couple weeks of that they all get boring. i dont even bother with the shooters or fighters, i already know they're boring. no street fighter 4 here yet either or i'd try that.
plus sitting in an arcade for an hour here turns your fingernails yellow (no joke). i don't like being around that much smoke.

I've recently got hooked on Cave shooters, so it's eating at me knowing Japan has several in their arcades and there's not even ports of them. I also can't afford to go shelling out a grand or more for the PCB.
I could also see the smoking thing. I smoke, yet I still don't like being in a room that's thick of it, which is why I had no issues with smoking bans in restaurants.
One of my friends works for a company in the Bay Area and she's told me how when their Japanese sister company sends people over, those guys tend to all chain smoke. That every hour they wanna run outside and puff down 2 or 3 back to back and always bitch about not being able to smoke in restaurants here.

Abs - check out some of the older Caves or anything before Mushi, you should be able to find the PCB for a good price, especially Ibara

If I was to ever get one, I'd splurge the wallet for Ketsui. I love the scoring system it uses, plus it looks balls to the wall hard, so I wouldn't get bored of it. From watching vids of it, it also has my personal fav sound track of any Cave game.
