My Neo*Geo MVS 1-Slot arrived early yesterday morning. It shipped with a copy of World Heroes installed in the unit. After setting it up, running through the test mode I quickly removed that cart and inserted Pulstar. Next up was Last Blade 2. I played the game for about an hour and then had to go to work. Last night I spent several hours playing Blazing Star, Ninja Masters and Pulstar. I finally forced myself to call it a night since it is a work night afterall.

I woke early this morning, walked down the stairs then to the kitchen and then down the hall to my den. There it was, my Neo*Geo MVS standing proudly against the wall. I could swear that I could hear it calling out my name! Not just a gaming system, a way of life.

Good choice man! It's a special feeling to play on your own cabinet.
I will post a pic of mine as soon as someone with a digicam comes around.

Congratulations my fellow Neo Geo fan. It looks SWEET. I'm really glad that you are enjoying it. And about the "extra care" you give to your newly arrived cab, it's only natural. Heck I always open up my cabinet and lovingly look at my MINT collection of NGH games before I go to bed and when I wake up. No other system has had the effect on me. If I get a cab, which will be sometime in the future after I am settled and a professional, I will hug it and caress it every day.

Hey, this thread is still alive!

Update: My Neo Geo 1 Slot was out of service for a few weeks do to a mishap while moving the unit from one room to another. In a freakish accident the locked back door popped off and fell back onto the unprotected neck of the monitor. Poof!

The good news is that is is now back in operation with a brand new Wells-Gardner Monitor / universal mount with a nice frame around the back of the monitor.

In order to guarantee that the back door will never be a problem again I fastened hinges on it so it swings out like door. I cannot fall into the cabinent anymore.

The new monitor sure looks good.

MVS Rules!

Yeah!! I was just trying to resurrect an old thread. If you notice, I posted on October 31 and the last post before it, was June 6. I just wanted to see if people would keep posting after me without realizing that it's an old thread.
