+5V MVS Motherboards

In a previous thread I saw someone mention that some MVS mother boards only require +5V and do not need +12V. Is this true? What are the power needs for the 1-slots?

MV-1A
MV-1B
MV-1C
MV-1F
MV-1FZ

All those can run off +5v, the +12v is only for audio amplification so if you are only running +5v you will have line level audio and it needs to be tapped at the source and not the edge.

IIRC most 1 slots only pull a max of 1.3-1.5A during gameplay.

Yep i can back up what James is saying, i've not tested the 5v load on all the different 1-slots, but have covered the 1A, 1C, 1FZ and they all pulled less than 1.5A
