This is a Ducker 2 (based on an enemy character from the Konami Nemesis/Gradius Game Boy game) mini action figure that I finished sculpting/painting last night. Made entirely from scratch in five, non-consecutive days. It has 32 points of articulation and stands a little over 3 inches tall.

For comparison purposes, below are three images of Ducker 2. The first picture depicts the original, gray-scale sprite from the Nemesis Game Boy game. The second image is the colored version, which can be found on the first Konami Game Boy Collection compilation cartridge (four Konami Game Boy games on one cart, all with color added--these weren't released in North America, just Japan and Europe). The final photo, on the bottom, is the artwork from the Nemesis Game Boy instruction manual.

How about the Last Resort ship? That would be awesome as hell.

Nice work btw (as usual).

As a diehard fan of the Gradius series, I highly approve of this.

Great as usual man...

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

Currently, my next sculpting project is slated to be based on a SNK game—I won’t tell you which, or what I'm making, but I will say it’s not from a shooter.

Holy cow... That thing is incredible. Excellent work.

Yeah... More shooting game stuff would be awesome. Something from Last Resort would be end all.

Love the feet. Is it really hanging from that pole by the strength of its joints alone? If so, wow.

And it's absolutely mazing how you were able to extricate all that detail out of such an incredibly un-detailed sprite.

Wow wow wow.

Yeah, it's hanging on upside down under its' own power--no tricks. Originally, I entertained the idea of putting magnets in its' feet, so that it could literally stand on metal walls and ceilings, but I'd probably have to have used rare-earth-magnets, otherwise the attraction would be too weak for the amount of surface area on the bottom of the feet vs. the weight of the figure for small, normal magnets. I had a heck of a time getting the magnetic proximity bombs I made for my Quake SOA Gremlin to work, and they were a fraction of the size/weight of the Ducker figure.

My favorite thus far as well, kickass attention to detail.

Reminds me of those cool figurines you get along with certain special editions of games/anime.
