MVS Game Stickers....

I was bored today and was thinking about 8man's MVS sticker template when I was browsing ST. The only reason why I didnt like it was because it covered the vents so I thought maybe I can make one that would go on that space between the vents on the MVS cart. So the template I made is about 6 7/8" wide and 1 1/8" tall. Of course the size would limit your choices of artwork to use but hey it's total personalization on your part.

So I made this for fun:

I don't know if I would actually use these but I don't know if any of you would want to.

It's cool but I see it as overkill. If people like them and choose to use them, that's fine with me. I'm all for a new label design myself. The labels available atm are pretty tired looking.

Remember these dont replace the current labels but are for the front of the cart not the spine.

On a cart it would look like this:

The smaller graphic looks out of place floating in the middle.

Just cover the 2 center vents on this side of the cart with a larger graphic.
(The back of the cart has more vents, so you don't have to worry about blocking the vents.)

or cover the first 3 vents and leave the last vertical vent open.

Anyway, U.S. stickers covering "some of" the vents, look cool on the cart,
especially if you can't read the Japanese spines.

but more importantly, I think Xian Xi should make a Super Dodge Ball full frontal insert using the original game artwork...p-l-e-a-s-e :D

Hah, only reason I did this was because of the template on ST, I know Danno runs it now but you still had it up there when you ran it. :angry:

Sorry, no can do. I'm done with that already. Someone else would have to make it. I think only Ben(Le Geek) is making inserts still, try PMing him.

I never personally thought they looked good. I put the template on Southtown as it was carryover content...just like everything else from LoopyEddies site...

I will be starting up again with the inserts real soon. I already have the new PC just sitting. What's the problem now? I am deciding whether to use this copy of Vista or grab XP. I think I am going to grab XP. Any thoughts on what OS I should use?

I think that looks sorta cool. If you could trim the neo logo and meg counts off the sides it might be cool for carts missing the gold warning label. On that graphic it wouldn't work, but overlaing the meg count over the image with a transparent backround might be ok.

As for covering the vents, I think that the sticker would eventually look kind of haggard and dented, defeating the purpose of the whole deal.

Now the only posts here worth something are BB's and XX's everybody else is cluttering the air with resonnance of retardedness specially 8man (dub is just background noise right now...ruffles!), your design is poor, the MVS logo is not the original one and although a commendable effort there's still plenty of room for vast improvement.

Thread carefully on your criticism, is not allways wise to look from above on talent that towers your own.

I've been thinking about this for a while and although I haven't done anything concrete I was thinking perhaps we should use those vents to our advantage to create somthing unique and not out of place.

I like BB's idea of making new labels, and as much as I hate kpj I kind of like his labels, they are nice and neat, there's better ways of doing it, but his design is pretty damn good.

I think is time we toy around with the idea of relabeling the MVS alltogether, but I really like what we have already, however sometimes you'll never know until you try it right?

The design I supplied is probably geared more towards top loaders so you can see the label when playing. Side loaders have to go a different route like kpj labels.

I'm retarded at this kind of stuff, and surely there are others who could make this look good, but I just thought the smaller gold warning label size would look more natural on the cart.

the longer version looks like a bad ass label for the top.
