COD patch= 3 red lights

:oh_no: just got on to play some cod 4 and I needed to download the new update, I did and as soon as it was done my xbox went into the red light mode:crying: no problems before but now I have to wait a while for my xbox to come back. has this happen to anybody else after an update?

Yes...
that's how my first 360 RROD/died..Right after a game update..

Update finished,screen froze-three lights of death..



I think it's totally coincidental though.

Anything could make it happen. They are all ticking time bombs. In my case it was wanting to watch an HD DVD movie.

yeah it might be coincidence, its just sucks cus I recently sold my wii and my ps2 is in storage. Oh well at least I still have my selft to play with...

When the spring update came out last year my 360 died too.

What happened when you powered it on again? Disconnect the power to it for 1 day and then turn it on and see what happens.

noting but the same 3 flashing red lights after a day and half. I hate to sound crazy, but I think xbox might be doing a 3 red light test w every update so they dont have to be waiting for the occasional breakdown. but Its just a tought a really crazy thought. I think ive been wathching to many conspiracy movies. Wouldnt be a bad conspiracy but the waiting is lame...

Yeah with Nintendo Wii my friend thought his died completely. After a month of it sitting there, he found out it was because of a Game Cube memory card. Apparently, if you leave a Game Cube memory card in your Wii all the time, it will quit working. All you have to do is take the memory card out, unplug the system and wait a day or so. He did it, and now his Wii works perfect again. That is some retarded ass shit!!!!

No it was the first of its kind. now I got it back and seems to run just fine.

For the record I hate this fucking patch. Sniping is so damn easy compared to before, now I get sniped when I am NOT in the crosshairs. Oy. :rolleyes:
