I GOT ALL MY OTHER PROBLEMS SOLVED!!!!

So any ways I need Help!

In the process of all my other escapades I managed to short the circurty (spelling bee king) of the jamma connector. the ciruit board where there should be a connection going is blown(see diagram below), I can tell because I can see where it went and now it is a brown toasty line. Can I connect this some other way. Can I jump it by soldering a wire from one connector to another? Can I send this to someone to do for me? JMKurtz this sounds like something you can do.

jumping a wire should be fine
aslong as nothing else gets touched by it :)

you could try some of the stuff they use to repair rear window defrosters <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" />

you can usually find it at larger auto parts stores
like pep boys or whatever
the smaller ones don't always have it

I had a similar problem with my 6 slots, the 12 volt track gets quite hot and may develop carbon build up leading to intermittent contact.

Got around it by using copper braid ( desoldering wick) It comes in various widths, get the one the same width as the track.

Will send a piccy.

Sorry its not the 12 but the 5 volts, there are two tracks in parallel.

Thanks TTooddddyy

That helps alot. but on that pic, dosen't that give the connectors a loose connection after a couple insertions?

I havent had any problems, the braid is very thin. Doesnt open out the jamma socket.
Ive plugged/ unplugged dozens of times, it still looks fine.

Snowturtle, that repair stuff dident work (your right it seemed like it should have but dident)

I still need help. If I took a pic is there any one that would be willing to fix it with a solder if I pay shipping?

The problem is that the picture is VERY unstable. I am almost positive that this is the problem. The monitor works with other Jamma boards so I know that that is not it any other recomendations.

I also put a minty MS2 up for trade for a new PCB in the selling forum if anyone wants to take a look at it. thanks!
