Eh, a converted dynamo cab. Not too shabby considering you're getting a Naomi CvS setup. They usually come with the Capcom IO, don't be too bummed if it doesn't. I'd say definitly worth the $300 if it has a good monitor on it.

Yeah, without a doubt you got an awesome find there. If you got a Capcom IO in there, your software and Naomi hardware setup alone is worth more than what you're paying for the cab. Post some pics after you get that cab home, I'm curious to see just how sharp that monitor is looking.

Great haul man.

got the machine home tonight, haven't looked to see if it has the converter or not yet, I hope it does since that mofo is pricey by itself like you say.

All in all its a decent machine...but I really made the trip down south for the monitor and Naomi system+game and marquee. I think I may end up putting the Naomi in a nicer cab, the monitor could be used too though, its pretty clear, and after some tuning will be as good as it can be.

I do need to redo the control panel if I leave it in this cab even for a little while.. this only has 4 buttons on each side since the game doesn't use 6 like every other game after it. Gotta get a gd-rom at some point for Cap VS Snk 2 and Mar VS Cap 2.

no matter what I will use the cab for older jamma games if nothing else, so everything will get used.

BTW.. I did have to drive 5 hours to Miami for it, but luckily got the 190 bucks in gas back for taking my sister and baby niece down to ft.laud to see my grand parents so my father wouldn't have to make a trip this coming weekend.

so even after having to travel, and stay the night it still only cost me 300, so not bad

The sliding deck being at an angle (cant tell it from the pic) , makes me appreciate my MVS cab's interior. Everything about the Big Red is nicer and easer to get to. This is only my second cab, so I didn't know 100% how it would differ on the inside.

I also noticed something about my MVS now that I have a second machine, I thought I had a 25" monitor on it, but its actually 27"...the new cab is 25" and looked smaller so I busted out the tape measure...sure as shit my MVS is 27"...I didn't know they had that size in them... so I wonder if my MVS monitor is original or not now...not that it matters really...just curious.

I also discovered this when I turned down the adjustments on the monitor...goes away when they the contrast is cranked, but images of course becomes waaay less sharp then I want it.

seems to be slightly effected by the v-hold position...but only changes the gap between the green lines.... is something any of you have been able to fix easily or is this screen junk now?

If you unlock the 2 slide bolts from the side....You can pull the whole bottom board of the cabinet out to you...Its pretty easy and gives great access.

Great find and a great setup at that price. Always a good feeling to walk away from a deal feeling you got a steal.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is a Naomi cartrige, not a gd-rom so you can score that without the gd/dimm set up.

but it's like $250 atleast i'm sure.

Oh yeah? Thats cool, I could have sworn when I looked it up on KLOV it said it was a GD-rom. I thought the MvsC-1 was a cart, MvsC-2 is a gd-rom ...

anyone know any good cart games for it?
I have most of the games on my dreamcast, but there are some I dont Im sure

Dynamo cabs are good solid cabs for misc jamma purposes, I think that was a steal...congrats on that!

As far as the Monitor goes; if you are still unresolved on that issue most monitors have 2 knobs on the back of the chassi where one is focus and the other is a "master" brigtness, then you have the other brightness knob in the monitor ext. control panel. Working with these knobs would most likely take care of the problem.

I hope that helps, and good luck!

there are the 6 basic controls remoted to the front, and then the monitor itself has about 10-12 on the back of it...never seen one with so many

The ones one the back of the node are usually the Red, Green and Blue sometimes is only one per color, and sometimes is 2 per color meaning gain and hue. The others are just repetitions of the CP ext. However the knobs that are not situated vertical but are instead installed "standing up" are susally for synching and what not, most of the time is best off to leave this alone at less absolutely neccesary. Send a detailed pic and I'll note each one for you.

I think MVC1 is a cps2 pcb.

Very cool find, I'm in the process of bartering for a MVC2 cab that looks exactly like that.
