At what point do you guys consider a deal fucking void?

Basically, I considered my Saturn package sold over two weeks ago.
Payment hasn't arrived.
As people know, I am generally considered a good seller here, I go out of my way to pack well, sell things in the condition advertised, and am kind of a persistent person in that I consider agreements pretty iron-clad (even in the face of much better offers).

This latest episode has me rethinking this strategy, especially if people are gonna drag their feet and be shitheads about payment.

Personally, I don't bid or buy unless I have the ability to pay once I get the payment instructions.

That said, what sort of payment method was being used? If it's paypal only, I would almost state in the listing that if you aren't paid within 48 hours, they loose their right and it goes back up for sale.

This deal was here? I would send one more PM giving a final date for payment or it goes back on the market. If you're in no rush to sell, then wait, but if you just want it done, move on.

With people I've dealt with before, I usually will wait because I know they're either good for it or they will take some time but complete the deal. We've all dragged our feet at one time or another, but no one should feel guilty if the seller pulled out due to time constraints.

In all of my communication, I make sure that we are on the same page as to when the buyer is expected to send payment and that it is her responsibility to notify me when she DOES send payment. I usually expect payment to be sent withing a few days of closing unless we make other arrangements.

From the date the payment is supposed to be sent, I give 2 days for PayPal and one week (Canucks and Ricans get a few extra days) for money orders.

If I don't feel like someone is keeping up their end of the bargain, I don't feel bad about relisting or selling it to the next dude..
