Neotropolis and Liquidamart have been sniping the shit outta everything.
Big deal I lost, but thats nots what is bothering me. They raise the prices on
stuff so that people can't pick up a deal and after the shipping and reselling fees
they are gonna make jack shit from the games. What the hell are they thinking?

So this thread is about you complaining about two buyers on ebay who win auctions that you are also bidding on?

I just want to make sure we are on the same page.

It is about why these resellers would buy things at the prices they do.
Why would they buy a game with a $25 common market value for $10 plus $7 shipping? Then after Ebay and Paypal fees they will make next to nothing.
They could try to sell at an inflated price, but then will have horrible inventory
turnover. It just doesn't make sense from a business standpoint.

At first I thought this was a thread about the user Jesus Christ. He should make a cameo at least in here :lolz:

The expression "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen" applies here. Getting sniped and outbid is a fact of life on ebay.

Have to agree. I run into similar issues on certain items on eBay but always remember...what they can do to you, you can do also to them ;)

It's simple. If you want to win and keep your costs down, you snipe. If you don't... someone will snipe you.

It's the way of the eBay, grasshopper.

It also tells me that someone was willing to pay more for it than you were. Next time you'll have to bid a little higher. ;)

You're missing his point. Price jacking resellers have always been bad for this hobby.

Agreed.

Just don't buy from known price jackers.

He's complaining about price jackers, not being sniped.

And I tend to agree with him. It's tough to find good deals in this hobby as it is without some parasitic "members" always trying to make a buck off us.

I took this action a few years ago when SNK-4-eva was outted. Won't trade, sell, or buy from that peep smoker.

All you can do is smile while thinking about all of their overpriced inventory they will get stuck with.

The only way to avoid beeing outbid on teh bay is to enter a as high enough ammount that you are willing to spend.

Always worked fine for me.

Its never fun losing on ebay, but I never enter an amount bigger than what I'm willing to pay. If I lose its ok since the price was out of my range.

To some people in this hobby, its not about the games, its about getting that

The only way I play on ebay is bidding in the last 15 seconds.

I can understand how shit it must be to get outbid by some price jacker though. They won't let you buy a cart for what it's worth.

its seriously bad...just last week I expressed interest to a member to buy his Viewpoint and he told me its worth apprx $200 (for a loose cart btw) - ridiculous.

I havent been in the Neo scene very long, but even I remember a time when the cart would go for +/- $85

hahah wow! No way I'd pay that for a loose VP cart. It's value has increased lately [not in the 85 range anymore] but I wouldn't put it that high by any stretch. That's laughable.

Thats exactly what this guys justification was...

from our pm's...

Yes it's original. The last viewpoint that I saw for sale was on ebay. It was original with a fake label and sold for over $200 several months ago

total BS
