Just thought i would post up pics of my collection.I've spent the last 4 or so months collecting this stuff. Collecting Neo is so addictive..lol (my wallet is really glad i didn't get into AES collecting)

Anyways...bit of an intro: I'm located in Australia and finding carts can be a bit difficult sometimes, trying to track down the less common carts can be even harder (try finding a Samsho 5 special here....). More people are holding onto their carts as well since arcade collecting and the home market has taken off locally pretty well. But with that said, there are also some bargains that I've found....Mainly from people that have no idea of the Neo market and just have some old arcade stuff they want to sell. Kizuna Encounter kit for $30 is a perfect example. I've managed 3 big lot hauls so far, around 10-15 carts at a time and one of those was all boxed kits....all very cheaply to so it has helped to get the collection bigger. But otherwise it's generally been single carts at market prices :( which means shipping on each one to so the costs rack up pretty fast. I'm keeping a database of what each cart costs me just for the sake of seeing how much i spend on the hobby...makes me frown every time i look at it.

I'm not really into collecting boxed kits (i do really like the artsets though), if they come along cheaply i grab them, otherwise just the carts is fine for me. Except for King of Fighters. I want to get MINT kits for all the KOF games....I've got 2K, 2K1, 2K2 and 2K3 (got the Atomiswave kits to) I have 97, 98 and 99 US kits coming...they were a gamble as there is a sticker on the boxes over the label so i'm hoping they can be removed... I have artsets for alot of the games i don't have the boxes for also. Collecting arts is a hobby in itself.

Shockboxes cost alot to ship here as well, but without them i think that i would have to buy boxed kits for everything...which i dont want to do. I guess if i was ever to sell them the shocks get you a little more for the carts anyways.

I'm trying to keep my site up to date with info on what i have....my website design skills are poor though so it may be a bit crappy :) I hope to get all the artsets and kit contents on my site one day....when i get all the carts i want maybe it will happen :)

If you want to see bigger pics of the below just click my site link in my sig. You can see my Atomiswave stuff there as well.

Enjoy

That is a fantastic collection you have amassed in such a short period of time. Yes, Neo collectiing is very addictive. Those shocks look awesome.

nice

I have about seventy MVS carts so far. I haven't picked up shock boxes for all of them yet. When I do, expect some pics!

Thanks dude. Are those bare carts doubles or just "shock-less" for now?

No, they are just shockless for now :)

With the cost of shipping to Australia it's alot better to buy in bulk when i need to. I only got 30 around a month ago.....12 of them went to my Atomiswave carts because i swapped them from VHS cases. There's a small fortune in shockboxes alone. They end up costing around $15 AUD shipped per box. I figure that if i ever want to sell them i will probably get close to that on top of what the cart would go for because it has a shock with it. Helps me justify the price ;)

Wish i could do a massive bulk buy for all the carts i need :)

You Metal Slug spine box set inserts are the center of the collection :) Very nice job on that.

I have around 15 doubles, they aren't pictured. They are on my site.

I'm also a Neo collector in Melbourne... perhaps we each have some games we don't want?

Yeah i get around to playing them....not everything though. King of fighters and the puzzle games get a fair playing. Magical drop 3 would get played 5 of 7 days of the week. The shmups get a fair playing as well. Alot of the fighting games don't get played much, kabuki klash, kof 2k2, garou, last blade and samsho5S i play quite a bit though. When i get my 6 slot board i will be able to have 2 more games in the cab at one time so that will help play some more.

The atomiswave gets a fair playing as well lately rumble fish 2 is a great game. AND....i feel embarrassed to say it but extreme hunting in my shooting cab has gotten ALOT of game time lately. We have this thing going with 4 of my mates and my little brother of who can beat who's scores.....surprisingly addictive....
