Memory Card Confusion

Ok, I know my memory card works because I'm asked to load data in many games and this allows me to start from any level I've previously visited.

The weird part is that my card does not save my high scores! That's the primary reason I bought a memory card and it wont do it.

Yep, you're screwed if that's why you bought it... for it doesn't save high scores. Sorry.

It doesn't save high scores for a legitimate reason. Say I am playing kof95 AES at home and I utterly kick ass at it. I have the most unbeatable high score ever. Then i go to the local mall and slip my memory card into the MVS machine featuring the game...should I have the right to overwrite the arcade's high scores merely because I played the game ad nauseum at home?

True, and the difficulty level could vary from machine to machine.

I guess that all makes sense. Oh well. I guess I should get an MVS machine that will keep the scores on that machine.

Don't feel bad...I went out of my way to get the MVS memory card reader assuming it would do the same thing--scores. I'll gladly accept progress anyway (especially as a Metal Slug fan), but yeah, I figured it would save both too. Oh well. Points to SNK for, you know, even doing as much as they did with memory cards, way before most other people caught on.

Or a digital Camera (of course that's not as fun). What I don't like about MVS is it only keeps a few games worth of scores, but that's understandable.
