NO LONGER FOR SALE AT THE MOMENT!

Well I'm getting into photography guys, so I have no use for a digital camera such as this one. I need a camera with interchangeable lenses and stuff for professional work, so I'd like to sell this one to help raise the money to get a nice canon digital rebel or nikon's equivalent.

This is still a very good camera though, it's specs are as follows:

10.1 megapixel
3x optical, 10x digital zoom
2.5" LCD display (huge!)
32MB internal storage (has expansion slot for SD cards up to 2GB in size)

Tons of setting for different lighting/motion conditions (aperture priority/shutter priority), stitching images together, coupling images, video capture at 320x240 or even 640x480 at up to 30 FPS.

Since I can't use the camera to take pictures of itself, here are some stock photos of what it looks like:

This camera is the one I've been using to take photos of the stuff I have for sale in my selling threads and on eBay, so if you want some (heavily downsized) samples, check out my other selling threads, or:

(the original resolution was 3648x2736!)

:tickled:

Everything that came with the camera is included, such as the carrying case, AC adapter, USB cable, A/V cable to hook the cam up to your TV, instruction manual, photo software and drivers on CD.

The camera has seen only light usage, it's in mint condition and I've taken just over 200 photos with it. Never dropped it or anything and always put it back in it's included carrying case.

This camera still sells for around $230 on internet shops.

I'm looking for $150 shipped OBO, with free 2 GB SD card.

Not really looking for trades at the moment, because I need another camera to replace this one. I have a color digital photography class starting january 15 and I'd like to have a nice Canon or Nikon by then.

As you may know, those cameras can cost big bucks. The model I really want is $1299, but I'm probably going to buy the $599 model. And the $599 is for the camera body only, lenses are extra. :crying:

Ki,

Damn ...I really need a new camera too. Good luck with your sale. Already in Christmas debt or I would've bought it myself.

Go with the Nikon D40, good price and a fairly decent starter camera. If you're looking for something a bit cheaper, go with one of the Panasonic Lumix series. I know someone with one of these and for the money the lenses are great and the macro mode on these things is awesome. I hope to pick up a Nikon D40 in late Jan/early Feb and start doing some side work, weddings, etc..

If you can afford the Canon 40D, you should go for that one. I picked it up a month ago...I like it way more than my Rebel XT. My XT now collects dust :P .

The best and cheapest lens to pick up for a Canon camera is the Canon 50 1.8. You can get it used for about $50 shipped. I have a few sample pics with that lens if you would like to see.

Anyway, good luck with your sale. :buttrock:

UPDATE: I talked to my photo professor today after finals and he said we don't need a fancy digital SLR or anything like that, so I'm going to keep this for now. Sorry folks.

Thanks to those who gave camera advice.

P.S. - I would like the Canon 40D if I could afford it. $1299 w/no lens is pretty steep for an amateur photographer though,

That's why I bought a used 20D off of craigslist. I put an ad out saying I'd spend between $400 and $500 for one depending on what came with it. Ended up paying $500 for one complete - box, software, manuals, kit lens, and with an extra battery. :D
