I have a 4 slot neogeo big red (early version) cab that I want to put an atomiswave into (switchable with the MVS board). So I am planning to use a fingerboard adapter to add in a 5th button (so I dont have to mess with the MVS harness and can have the 5th button disconnected from the MVS board when not playing and the select button hooked up. The question I have is this...I am basicaly only going to be playing Samurai Shodown 6 on the atomiswave so I will definatly need the 5th button but where do I place it? I havent played SS6 enough to know yet so I was hoping someone here might have some ideas. Would it work best under the A button? Or maybe under the B button to the right of the A button? Ideas and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here's the official button lay out as from SNKP's Tenka site(see: http://game.snkplaymore.co.jp/official/samurai_tenka/ )

ABC
DXE

X is a blank spot, so it's just like Guilty Gear XX

I've actually been chewing over this fifth button problem for awhile now, and it's the only thing that's been stopping me from picking up an Atomiswave board. I have a seven button CP Super Neo 29, with the four Neo buttons on top, and the Capcom Kick Harness on the bottom row. I guess I'd be adding the fifth button below HK, just to balance the rows out. However, I am totally against screwing with the harness, as I've only wired stuff directly to the CP controls, from the harness, and not vice versa.

This fingerboard adapter sounds like it might be my solution. Would it be a pain to tell me how these work?

Thanks again.

I would probably just use the MVS select button, add a second one for the other player, and use the 5th button sparingly. In other words, I don't care that much about one game. What does that button even do again?
