Anyone have a ghostlop cart? I just built my first one using a SSII sac cart (it had already been converted TO SSII as all the soldering was hand done when I opend the cart...Im guessing it was something else, then was used in an AES conversion and the AES SSII chips moved to this MVS board set). Anyhow the problem I am having is that while the game plays fine and all the graphics are fine the sound has a constant clicking noise with the music and sound effects (which seem to be fine). Any ideas? I programmed once and verified three times durring the rom making process if that means anything. Unfortunatly right now I only have access to my supergun and an MV1C board...so I cant test it on anything else for a few days yet. But I was hoping to get some input if anyone has had similar problems or if this is normal or not.

When I made mine it was perfect with no trouble. I used a WH2J cart, straight swap. So that would make me think it could be a jumper setting on your board.

I am thinking I may try desoldering and checking my V1 and M1 and make sure they are both correctly programmed again. I have a spare WH2J board so I may just make another cart and try that one as well. This one seems to work fine other than the clicking audio...hopefuly its just a programming issue with a rom or something simple as such. I will have to double check jumpers and see if there is anything that stands out as well. Thanks.

I desoldered and checked my V1 and M1 roms both checked fine, so I hit up my other carts and checked to see if any had the same size roms and same top board. Luckily two carts did..each had more V roms but that was not an issue. So I compaired jumpers between the three and found that two jumpers had been left off on the sac SSII cart! I soldered new jumpers in place on the SSII board and Ghostlop now runs perfectly! I finaly have a Ghostlop cart...and enough roms to make two more if I choose to. Although I will probably attempt some other homebrew carts now like pong! What better use of powerful neo hardware than playing pong?!? :tickled:
