I can't really seem to find what I am looking for online. Tomorrow I will be attempting to make a arcade stick using a original ps1 controller (non dual shock). I have no Idea where to solder the wires onto the controller though. If someone knows where a nice tutorial is online that would be a great help. All the tutorials I have found don't seem to have pics and they all say to scrape off a rubber coating on the board and solder the wires directly to the board. I don't see any of these rubber coatings though. All I see is 2 chips hanging off the controller for the L and R buttons. As for the d-pad, and all the other buttons, they all dont really seem to be labeled in a manner that I understand.

1. You don't need a pinout for the PS1 controller.... You will be soldering to the pads.

2. Each button has two pads.... One is ground and the other side activates the button... Solder to that side. It's pretty easy to figure out which is which using either a multimeter or visual inspection.
