maybe i have bad luck but nothing ever works out on my neo.

i'll start w/ today. I got jap SamS2 and jap KOF 97'. i put in SS2 fisrt and it had no sound. so i put in KoF and it worked just fine. then i put in SS2 and it worked fine. then it started reseting. so i put Kof back in. played fine for a while then it started reseting but not as often as SS2. then i noticed when i hit certain button combinations it would reset. the i put SS2 back in and it wont even begin to work.

i have an aes pal system. i hate this crap so much. could someone please help me!!!!!!!!!! i have i bios chip i have't put in, i dont ex[ect it to make any difference.

I've never done it myself, but it's most likely not a problem, just dirty contacts on either the system or the cart (since the system works fine with other games, it's probably the carts that are dirty).. And as far as the Neo resetting when certain buttons are pressed, I believe this is normal depending on what buttons are pushed. I think that pushing (I may be wrong, but it's something similar) A+B+C+D+Start resets the game. Might have to pause first though...

i already cleaned the carts, they were very dirty. maybe i will clean them again. the button combinations that reset change all the time. sometimes it forwad an A, somtimes in KOf when i roll from a fall it resets. everydifferent combination does it. i just had a long run w/ 97 then fourth round, reset. it resets on its own some and some w/ the buttons

the more i play the games the shorter the time intervals of reseting. longest 4 min, shortest 2sec.

so, what causes a system to reset?

1. Don't use dirty cartridges. The dirt transdfers to the contacts within the MVS unit, and are much harder to remove from there. I had posted previously about using a rubber eraser (soft pink, NOIt the harder eraser!) to clean the contacts, then using denatured alcohol to finish cleaning. A good contact cleaner will help in the mvs contact sets.

If yours is the arcade game, reset the battery RAM as there may be some garbage in there which can cause some wierdness...

Caps -> Capacitors. Capacitors are often recognized on PCB's by being a large cylinder that is soldered onto the board by two points.

They have interesting properties and are used to do signal filtering in circuits.

I always have this problem with soccer brawl because it was sold without case. When I put the game, the screen turn green and after there is no sound. After cleaning it, there are no other problems.

Nope, think this is common problem in pal neo. I live in a pal country. Pal neo are old system right and those e cap lost their spec.

It is mainly the power supply, my pal neo won't accept normal 5v 3a power supply but only SMPS.
It is only after I checked the cap and replaced those that are out that it accept normal psu. Otherwise, mine worst off, it will keep resetting on boot(the neo logo)

Since you are at it, change the dc socket as well.
