CPS3 - Couple of questions

Hi,

I was thinking of getting a used CPS3 SF3 kit and I have a couple of questions

1. Should the battery die before being replaced, is it possible to revive the game?

2. Is it possible to get rid of the battery totally, like for the CPS2?

3. Is the CD-ROM attachment needed only when the CPS3 is switched on for the very first time, or it has to be present at every subsequent use?

1. If the battery dies the game is dead, there is no bringing it back, yet.

3. Yes and No, some games are NO CD versions, so once the game is loaded to the simms it works with just the mobo and cart, ones with the CDROM require it each time it is on.
