Look,it's easy to mod your japanese saturn pad, yourself!

ok here i go:

plug out your neo geo pad and look at the end of
the cable on the connector.
there are 15 pins/holes, the count starts from up-right to
down-left.

1=common
2=nc(not used)
3=select
4=D button
5=B button
6=right
7=down
8=nc
9=D button(again)
10=nc
11=start
12=C button
13=A button
14=left
15=up

so far so good..

now for the saturn pad:

inside there is one single smd chip with 24 marked pins.
you only must solder the neo geo cable directly on the pins of the chip.
here's the instruction:
(the used buttons from the saturn pad are A,B,X,Y,L,R(or start, if you want)

neo geo cable sega saturn pad
pins pins
4 to 6
7 to 1
12 to 13
6 to 4
5 to 10
15 to 3
13 to 11
14 to 2
3 to 5 ( or 14 start for start)
11 to 7
and finally
look at the top right of the saturn pad, there are 9 solder
points, this points are holding, and connecting, the original
saturn pad cable, wich you should desolder first, in order
to have more space for the neo geo cable.
now connect pin 1 from the neo cable to the first/highest of these
solder points(this is for the +5v) and....
now you have finished you mod,put the screws back in the pad case
and enjoy your new pad!

To achieve the best configuration especially for older fighters, where you have to push B+C I suggest:

Saturn - Neo

A - A
B - B
C - C
X - C
Y - D
Z - B
R - B
L - Select
Start - Start




You can now press most common button combinations like B+C very comfortable with just your thumb! Very good for the Real Bout Series!

i know what you mean, i just think it is better
when it's like the original neocd pad layout.

Entschuldige, aber du hast doch die Original Neo-Config auf meiner Config!

Nur hast du zusätzlich C und Z button des Saturnpads auch belegt! Schau dir meine Config nochmal genau an! Und versuch sie zu kopieren!

ja du hast auch die neocd pad belegung
und wie du das meins weiss ich auch, nur
hab ich die z und C knöpfe rausgemacht, da sie mich
beim zoken nur stören würden, und ich eigentlich
kein problem damit habe bc mit zwei fingern zu betätigen.
