I recently purchased a neo 29 from a local seller... awesome cab - i love it!!!

After testing all the parts/components, i noticed that the coins don't fall correctly when passed through the coin mechanism. I'm not sure if it's missing a piece to the door, or if i'm just a knucklehead... could even be both :conf:

I have absolutely NO EXPERIENCE with coin doors... so i've attached a photo of the coin door in hopes somebody could help a dude out:

I've noted the areas within the photo that i thought may have something to do with the mishap... any ideas/suggestions???

thanks, fellas/ladies!!! :)

It looks like the "Coin Mech" is missing

.........
It would look something like this..
http://www.happcontrols.com/coindoors/42311300.htm

But note: it's a japanese machine and I don't think US coin mechs will fit it..
I have no idea where to find the one you need.
..
Someone here might have a picture of the one you need..

i appreciate the help, man!

Your welcome,anytime..

The Coin Mech in my Candy cab seems smaller..

You may want to measure the dimensions of what size, the area of what you'll need to fit in that spot and try to match it up to one on the happs page.
I'm not sure if a Happ-US coin mech will fit a Japanese cab but it might.

You may be able to find one real cheap on ebay to try..

He is Correct..

Ok I finally got a chance to take a look at the coin Mechs in my Candy cab and two in two different US MVS cabs

The one on the far left is the one from the Candy Cab.the center is from my Two Slot Big Red US MVS Cab,..It's plastic...The one on the Far right is from my four Slot Big Red US MVS Cab..I haven't looked at the other mechs in my other cabs.

NOTICE the location of the holding pins....All you have to do is unscrew them and relocate them into the two center spots.
I have ran into Coin mechs where these pins weren't removeable..the Coin Mechs in my old Tekken 3 cab were stuck into place with no center hole..

Candy Cab..the coin mech is the same,it's just the area in general that's smaller.

Note: the Coin mech in my Candy cab requires two pins to be in the center and two in the bottom(4 like US)..for some reason the person who owned the cab before me must of removed the two bottom pins for some reason.

awesome - thanks for the help!

i noticed that my coin mech is located below the control deck... yours is within the deck area, correct? i'll go ahead and purchase one from happ, and see if it works. i know ordering from japan would take a while to get to me, and i'll end up paying $$$$$$$ for the shipment. as of right now, they've quoted me 2500 yen for the mech, and 1500 for shipping. that's a pretty penny for a coin mech.

thanks again fellas... i'll let you all know how it goes!

Mine is located right under the control panel..

Note, you sometimes can find Coin mechs cheap on Ebay..I sold two a few months back/then ended-sold for a buck..
If I had some left i'd send you one for free.

I knew my years as a ticket monkey were well spent.
:)

Thanks for remembering..
I never knew this,myself...all this time I thought the one in my Candy cab was different..
Thanks to you I went and checked and now know ..
.......................
Now when I got the candy cab the owner said it was received-set to take Yen and it had several yen in the coin box and inside the bottom of the machine.
but when I picked the cab up he said he changed it to take quarters..I'm not sure what that change required=changing the coin mech or some adjustment on the mech itself?

Adjusting coinmechs is a dark fucking art.
