Today my 6 slot was on and working fine. I turned my back for awhile, came back into the room, and was treated to a black screen with the words "Z80 ERROR"

I rebooted the cab, everything was fine until, a few hours later, the same thing happened (also when I was out of the room).

What exactly is a Z80 error?

My machine is fine again now that I rebooted, I'm just wondering if I'm in for trouble down the line if I don't get something fixed. . .

I pretty sure that the z80 error appears when the bios does a test of the z80 and shows an error message if the z80 behaves improperly.

Thanks.

I'm kind of a noob, any resource where I can find out what a z80 is?

Also, got a couple of new carts recently, maybe it's a cart, not the motherboard?

Thanks

Thank You, Big Bear.

I searched for it a couple of times on Google and on this forum to no avail.

I appreciate you taking the time to help me out.
