Has anybody else seen this yet!? D.O.C: World Edition has EASILY been my favorite arcade game of all time. I know two different spots where they have the full setup, and each time I go to those places I drop atleast $30 a time playing.

Needless to say I was pretty amped when I came across the news of the new Derby Owneres while randomly looking at youtube videos.

doesn't show too much, but I personally like the new overall look of the terminals and everything.

The official (translated) site is here (click my sig for the japanese version.)

man! here's hoping to be able to play this new one some day.

Oh yeah, here's a question i've always wondered about.... Maybe somebody will know. Say you have 1 Naomi mobo and 1 D.O.C. cart. Will you be able to play at all using this minimal setup, or will it give you an error message of some kind!? What happens exactly?

I'm a fan of Derby Owners Club as well and I've always wondered about that. Is there a way to play it on a consolized setup?

I am in the arcade business and would like to comment about 2 details in this thread.

1) 2008 Derby is a major expense to the Amusement operators. After the last upgrade of the game to EX and considering that players had to completely start over or get run over by the competition after spending 5 thousand or more dollars over a year, i will not be upgrading all 3 of my machines anytime soon. Upgrading is very unfair with a game of this magnitude.

2) A Question about whether or not you could link 2 satellite stations together and see if the game worked. The minimum number of NAOMI II boards to hook together for Derby Owners Club is 4 and then you need the main board. however, if you have other games such as Time Crisis or other NAOMI boards you can convert them to work as satellites with derby. Very cost effective!

Cheers
