Anyone heard anything else about this recently? Theres a limited amount of information out there and most of it seems like speculation, but hopefully this is still being developed. There are some videos up of Oriental Legends 2 from some expo in taiwan or something, so it seems at least promising that it is still coming out.

I read this on other forums and fan sites
- It's a brand new hardware, using cartridge (the same way as taito F3 games, put vertically into the motherboard)
-Its 2D hardware
- no retrocompatibility with old PGM games
- CGA standard Video. It means that it'll be 15,7 kHz and screen resolution will not be more than 640x288. (MVS = 304x224; CPS2 & CPS3 = 384x224; PGM : 448x224)
- standard JAMMA pinouts;
- next IGS games will be released ond PGM 2
- no more games on old PGM system (slots aren't produced anymore)
- no infos about incoming games. But as a graphic engine already exist (Oriental Legend 2)

nice, thanks for posting that man. Im really excited about this PGM2 and cant wait to see what kinds of games they will be producing. Im sure it will not be all mahjong and puzzle games, but judging by the popularity of those games in hong kong/taiwan/china Im sure there will be alot of them.

Was there any mention of a release date on that site?

wow, as if the first PGM wasnt obscure enough. Maybe IGS is a lot bigger overseas.

whats that? The game? The girls? Or both:)

I cant wait for this one, this may be one of the few times I throw down the money for a system on release, dont imagine it will cost too much out of the gate but I guess we'll have to see. Either way, Im glad its still happening.

Ive been to hong kong/china a few times and over there you see alot of PGM/Neo-Geo stuff, thats where I first played a PGM (9 dragons) and I was convinced instantly.

Never once though have I been to any arcades that were running street fighter or CPS2/3 for that matter. Lots of king of fighters and *ugh* dragon ball Z.

wow, is that a loke test for a brand new game in 1993 astro city cabinets? thats pretty cool. quite frankly i doubted this game would ever see the light of day, much less on new hardware. foolish was I. very rad indeed.

edit:btw, i <3 those cabinets sooooo much. nanao chassis > wei ya chassis x infinite.

Both indeed! I hope Cave is behind this 100%, but with the taito board up there I'm not sure what lies ahead for companies like Cave, Raizing, Psyko and so on.

It wouldn't hurt to see a Seibu game on this.

cave has their sh3 and the others don't put out games anymore (xnauts doesn't count)
Well that's a shame I don't follow shooters as much as I used to, let's just say lack of motivation.

good eye man!

That means its out I reckon. I wonder what those little controllers are used for if indeed they are controllers. Price is a little higher then I would have expected, but still....wow!

I would kill for Martial Masters 2. and surprisingly... this hardware isn't ALL THAT expensive. I know where you can get a brand new Oriental Legends 2 Kit (mobo included) for $545.

That is a heck of a price comparing to the $1600 dollar price I found some where else, I think if you could find that price in more places, the board would be doing a little better.
