K, here's what I have to work with:
http://callan.batcave.net/cabs.htm (the non-arkanoid one).

I had Double Dragon in it, but I beat it a few times and now I'm bored. The Arkanoid gets a lot of play in my house esp when we have people over because its challenging and what not. I'd like to get something good like that for the other machine.

First option is obviously an MVS with a few puzzlers etc, and I think there's space for an extra button on each side of the panel. But barring that, what would you guys suggest for a 2-player game with max 3 buttons, horizontal jamma that would keep us 18-21 year olds engaged?

Maybe a shooter? Also it needs to be in the cheaper range, like $100 or less.

Theres plenty of room there to Add another 3 buttons underneath and play some streetfighter 2/zero 3.

Failing that theres the awesome final fight.

Or a 1 slot with MOTW, Blazing Star, Puzzle Bobble, Turfmasters, SVC :mr_t:

Hmm I'm thinking an MVS is the way to go. The problem with a street fighter/capcom setup is that to be honest, girls will be playing this more than guys.

Right now I have a rombox machine (http://callan.batcave.net/xarcade.htm) and they play Bust a Move pretty exclusively on it, but it has a full 7 button setup, so it's what I use for games that need that much button power.

Anyone want to sell me a 1-slot? Or cheapy MVS titles to get me started? Also have a double dragon pcb to trade off.. or custom joys for supergun/neo/psx/gc/xbox..

A Nintendo Vs. would be pretty cool.
Not that I know diddly about the hardware.
But you'd have a dead-key in the third button.
Castlevania Vs. or Super Mario Vs. would get lots of play.
Mario probably more than Castlevania.

You could go with one of 68k's Jamma Genesis setups and play a plethora of 3-button Genesis games.
Not exactly arcade. But can definitely be a cool setup.
