I recently bought a faulty Neo-Geo CD -top loader, for very cheap in the hopes that I could fix it... I'm not sure why now because I much prefer the AES, but either way.

It had a faulty controller which I fixed with ease the only trouble is its got a problem with the AV signal and doesn't output one... well it does with the sound, which you can hear clear as day, but no picture. I've opened it up and nothing looks ary. Any hints?

I'm not exactly a pro at fixing things, but I have fiddled around with things in the past and got them working because the problems were obvious, perhaps someone else on here has had a similar problem with their CD?

Perhaps the DIN socket is loose on the PCB, does anything come up whilst the console is turned on, if you wiggle the AV cable in the socket?

Of course this is assuming you are using the AV DIN socket and not the composite phono socket.. you don't specify which in your post..

I think it is the same console that I was debating on purchasing, but in the end it was a bit pricey for a faulty piece of equipment! They can be had for much less...!

Good luck with your problem..

No I bought mine from a friend, who'd found it from his garage didn't cost much ^__^

But no, the reason I'm so confused with the problem is it doesn't work through any of the AV sockets... maybe I'll have to look elsewhere for help :(

It could be the encoder board. I might be selling some NeoCD parts soon so keep watch in the sales forum.
