Could someone please tell me were are the points on a MV1B board that I need to solder and modify to get stereo sound out of the board. I know that this had been discused before, but I could not find the thread or any info on the web about it. Thanks for any help given.

Xian Xi wrote a guide. It will be very similar for your board. Check it out here.

Thats for an MV1C not B. Does it use the same audio circuit?

I have only messed with a B once but I thought they were close enough the guide could be used as a reference to figure it out. I dont exactly remember though.

I think I remember reading somewhere that they did use the same audio circuit, but I am not sure. I wanted to make sure that I knew where and what I had to mod first before I started hacking away at the board. Thanks for the replies.

I am looking for details on doing this to MV1A, the resistor markings are different to the guide..

On a MV1A resistors R77 and R78 are the L and R channels from the op-amp outputs (pin 8/9, 13/14) and R76 is the analog channel from the YM2610 (pin 27).
I don't have a MV-1B handy at the moment but it's the same (yes, resistors are numbered differently).

Thank you very much MKL :)

I got my board in the mail and I have snap a few pictures of the board so that maybe someone can point out the proper points to solder to. My camera is not all that great so the pictures did not come out all that well.

Thanks in advanced.

I'm really interested in this thread also, I plan on attempting this same feat, so I guess I'll just keep watching.

i want to try out to mod stereo on the mv1A ,But a little confused here.So cut off both the traces on R77 and R78 right?and then.....?

You tap 3 sources, left channel, right channel and the analog. I think only for the 1C do you need to cut traces. You just need to remove the resistors.

Jeff Kurtz made a guide for this kind of circuit that you can use in general.

hmmm..based on jurtz diagram, looks like for MV1A i have to add an additional circuit with those caps because the analog still have to go to the Right channel......
