Does anyone know in the Universe Bios under the debug dip settings what the dev option is and what its purposes is. It is disabled and you can enable it if you want but the dips work either way. Also what is patch memory does this save anything in the memory of the systems code. Can you harm the equipment screwing around with the stuff in the Universe Bios or can you do what you please. I never touched these options in the Universe Bios before and can not find any info on this describing it in any depth. I heard about getting level selects with the debug dips and started messing with them. I feel this was the one big problem with NEOGEO games the lack of a level select. I play so much 2 player vs. it would be nice having some new scenery. I understand it for Arcade but there is no excuse for it in the home settings. Any help would be very appreciated.

I am surprised no one has info on this. Maybe Razoola can give a more detailed description about these options in the manual of the next Universe Bios release. Any info would be extremely appreciated.

Getting this up to the top one more time. Any info on this topic I believe would be valuable for anyone with the Universe Bios.

Thanks for the response. I knew that much about it to. I was just curious about the more advanced options within it. Like the dev option in the dip settings. Also does messing with the patch memory cause things to mess up in the systems memory. I messed with the patch memory one day while playing Samurai Shodown and the screen got a green haze to it. I erased the systems memory and things went back to normal. I don’t think many really know much about the more advanced options in the Universe Bios. This thread will hopefully get some more detailed information about these options so myself and others know how to use it properly.
