Depends on if you left the cabinet plugged in or not. ;)

I'm scared to death to get zapped by these things though.

I personally don't think so..

A few months back I got rid of my Tekken 3 Arcade machine,I took out the (good) 25 inch Monitor-then after a few days discharged it..I probably should of been more carefull but all l I did was put a big screw driver under the cup and touched it to the chassis frame.
I got nothing,no spark,nothing..tried it several times...
I put the monitor in storage: lately I'm been moving it around a lot and touch-bumping a lot on it and getting no shocks.

Sadly: this monitor is a pain in the ass keeping-moving..,I might just chuck it.

Just remember to wait 5 minutes and try to discharge it again just to be sure.

It's like dealing with a large capacitor and if you do a sudden discharge to ground without a bleeder resistor then there is an uneven charge left on the inside surface of it... What will happen is that the charge will redistribute itself evenly and the tube will seem to have built up another charge. Hence you zap it again in 5 minutes just to be safe.
