Hi there, I got an RGB monitor, the Mitsubishi 2752A (640 x 480 15-39 Khz multisync) and I have some questions.

I plugged my systems (Saturn & PS2) via the S-Video plug and nothing has happened when I moved the Posi, Size and Scan buttons, does anyone know what these buttons are supposed to do exactly and why they don't seems to work with S-Video ?

V Posi
H Posi
V Size
H Size
V Scan Auto/Normal
Scan Over/under

Also, I'm looking to build or buy (offers are welcome) some custom RGB cables to plug my systems (Dreamcast, Saturn, AES, PS2) and I would like to know which plug to choose from: DB-9, DB-25, or BNC 5 inputs ?

About the Dreamcast, which one is the best, the VGA box or a custom cable ?

Thanks :)

If I had more information about the monitor, I could probably make some custom cables.

For the Dreamcast you should be using it via VGA on a PC Monitor, it looks much better than RGB since its a much higher resolution..

for the dreamcast use the 5 BNC input, get yourself a VGA cable with this type of end, like $15 on ebay. It will run in either VGA or RGB mode from this input, I used to have a 33" one, but sold it awhile back. The DB25 uses a custom pinout which I used to have but I forgot where I put it. ask 300wins he should still have it.

ok nm, about what I said about the db25, I found my sheet and it was a db15 pin on the 33" version, the one you have is BNC only and video/s-video.

There is a DB-25 on the back with ANALOGUE written on the bottom. Never seen that kind of plug before... Anyway, BNC is easier to find/make :)

Sonofx51 is mistaken about the Mitsubishi 2752A. I know for sure I have never owned one of these monitor before. The 33 inch Mitsubishi monitor he is referring to is the Mitsubishi XC3315 which uses a 15 pin dsub. Now if you want the pinouts for that, I do have.

Ok, thanks ! :)

There isn't any DB-15 but I saw a DB-9 with TTL written on the bottom, do you know what is it ?

TTL is digital and won't work for analog RGB (which is what you want). It would be easiest for you to just use the 5 BNC.

I have one last question about the Dreamcast. Does a VGA box wired to a VGA to BNC 5 cable (like this one) will do the job ? Or do I need to buy and hack an euro scart cable ?

Thanks

that cable will work with a Dreamcast VGA box to your Monitor, or any VGA monitor with those type BNC plugs.
