1. How do you set the hard dip to free play? Do you have to take off the metal cover on the motherboard to access the dip switches?

2. Is it fairly common to have some burn-in on the monitor? It looks pretty good for the most part, but there is a dark-ish spot. Is it safe to adjust the flyback to make the picture brighter?

Thanks for the help.

I can't speak for all boards, but the dip switches are easily accessable--which is what one would expect. I do wish they were a little larger...

It's normal to have a little burn in, but it's something I'd avoid. Mine's got just a hair of it. As for the flyback, it's absolutely not safe to deal with it. Even if you know what you're doing, it's a lot of voltage.

Still, I'm sure all of us have reached back there--while the cabinet was on--to adjust things. It's not something I really want to do again.

How do I access them? Where are they?

Go here to figure out which board you have...then here to download the manual. They are prity easy to find if you just get into the cab and look around the edges of the board. You need to turn switch 7 on.

Thank you! The manual will be a big help.

Replacement mini marquees and a manual in the same day for free: Gotta love the 'net.

Burn is normal for any monitor that was actually used in an arcade. Free play is dip 7 out of 8, 8 is pause.
