Got a SSIII cart today and some of the music is all distorted.

The game plays fine with no graphic issues.

I've cleaned it and have no other problems with any games I use in my 4 slot.

Any ideas?

2 possibilities:

1. The Carts a boot : Did you check??

2. Move the cart to different slots with other games installed some of the older 4 slots are kinda finicky

Could be just a cracked solder joint on the sound rom, just reheat the solder on the legs.

As far as I can tell all solder points look to be fine.

However I may be blind, exactly where is the sound rom located? Just to make sure I'm not over looking anything before I return the cart.

I mean it's not like I got this thing from Yanton, the boards inside the cart are fucking spotless and so is my mobo.

I really don't want to have to exchange this thing.

Since it only takes a minute to do all the legs on all the ROMs I usually just add a bit of solder to all the ROMs just in case.
