jamma harness question

i have 2 older Jamma harnesses and id like to use them for a future supergun.i would just like to know if its possible for me to change the pinout on an old Jamma harness for use with the Neo related stuff. if so,please pm me with how. thanks you tim

those connectors don't have a "pinout" per se.. it's just a plug afterall. you can wire it in whatever way you want, jamma, mvs (which is jamma with a few small changes) etc.

^^here are the differences in MVS and jamma

one slots are jamma and 2,4,and 6 slots are mvs.

mvs is jamma but with the 7th connector blocked taht is all it is it is still a jamma harness and wiht out the -5v but most games dont need taht

To answer the question.
Yes it is easy to convert from jamma to mvs.
The differences are mainly to do with the sound.
Jamma edge connect is mono, mvs is stereo, so it has to be modified slightly. The test switch is also in a different position. You will also need a 4th fire button for some games.
Dont worry about the -5 volts, mvs does not require this but no harm having it there, its just not connected to anything on the mvs mother board.
Its easy to do and you will get all the help you need around here.

I have a question about the same kind of thing here. I Just recently Brought a 4 Slot Neo Geo PCB Too use in my Jamma Machine. I have been told that the PCB Is not Jamma and it could Fry my Sound amp.

I have used the PCB in the Machine and it plays quiet. I'm wanting too play the PCB and the games but not wanting to Fry anything.

Please help me i would like too play this the it was mint too!
