I'm interested in getting a copy of Megaman the Power Battle but am wondering if Capcom fitted it with a Suicide Battery?

Taken from The Dead Battery Society, only teh following games have suicide battery's equipped on them:

Three Wonders
King of Dragons
Knights of the Round
Captain Commando
Quiz and Dragons
Capcom World 2
Varth (Japanese version only - US and ETC have no battery)
Warriors of Fate*
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs*
Punisher*
Saturday Night Slam Masters*
Muscle Bomber*
Muscle Bomber Duo*

*Enhanced with Q-Sound

So, no, megaman does not have a battery in it.

I believe this game was also released on CPS2 but a very short production.

Only "sample" versions were released for Rockman on the CPS2. Rockman uses a different B board than other CPS2 games. It also has a suicide battery. The most notable change is the addition of QSound, and eeprom saved dip settings (no more dip switches). I've heard a good portion of the game's code is identical to the CPS1 version however.

See this thread for more info:

Yeah man, good luck finding it in a shell or otherwise. I been fucking looking for this version for 4 years and mind you I am no novice to cps 2. Its the only cps 2 board I need to have a 100 percent complete collection but it looks like its never going to happen.

Ther chief has one and he laughs in my face about it mocking me

man, I'm sure you'll track one down eventually. I'm just going for a CPS1 version for my Mega Man collection.

Gesh Chief I was being sarcastic buddy, maybe I should be less lazy and use these sometimes:)

Oh god why can't I find that board, my last hope was coinopexpress but I have a strong felling they will scam me and send me a boot or a cps 1 to cps 2 conversion or megaman 2

You know the irony here is that you stumbled across this board much like I stumbled across my street fighter tournie

Ok, you got me, smiles(spelling?, this looks wrong) help a lot.

The Megaman board I picked up is the only one I've ever seen complete with sticker. Some random guy on ebay had it priced pretty low considering how hard it is to find. How much was coinopexpress asking for it?

Street Fighter Tournie is one of the last boards I need, does it still fetch rediculous cash?

They want $117 but I sure you know about their $200 min gimmick. You should know SSF2 Tournie is just a clone of the regular SSF2 with just extra hardware and ok some variant software, your not missing anything, its just since officially it is on the release list a collector must have it. Its crazy rare as it was not released in kit form only in limited (semi promotional) dedicated linked cabs, most likely well under 100 world wide

The cps 1 version of rockman is a dime a dozen.

I picked up a street fighter anniversary a while back, it only took 8 months to find not that is was hard, it was really a matter of money
