Howdy,
Did a search here, on shmups, on killer cabs, and on Atomiswave forums, and did not come up with any similar issue.
When booting up my newly acquired Atomiswave with a Dolphin Blue cart, everything is fine and dandy for approximately 30 seconds. Logo comes up, music playing, intro starts, then after 30 seconds it just locks up. The screen stops moving, nothing can be credited, the game is just inaccessible, but the music still plays. Same 30 second issue even if you fast forward through the intro and start playing, locks up right around the same time mark in game.
When booting up system with no game cart in it, it goes into test mode and seems fine, alternating between cross hatch and color bar screens.
Any ideas? Does this seem like a mobo issue or a cart issue? I don't have any other carts or systems to try at the moment. Thank you in advance to anyone who can offer any suggestions or who has seen something similar before.
Sincerely,
Mikhail
UPDATE 11/14/07
Tested this out over the weekend with two additional AW carts and a new mobo. Funny thing is all of the carts including DB work on the new mobo I got, and both of the new carts work on this AW mobo. So the ONLY combo that doesn't work properly is DB and the first mobo. Weird, like they are just not compatible.
