Could be your PSU not pushing enough amps. Does it at least push out 1200mA?

It could possibly be a broken trace going to the bios. Is the screen majority of one color but there is like random blocks all over the place and the blocks are pretty much the same size?

PAL or NTSC means nothing as far as PSU requirements go. You can use a Megadrive PSU only if the label under the console says PRO POW 3 or PRO POW E. If it says PRO POW or PRO POW 2 you need a 5v PSU.

on the bottom of the aes it says use pro pow ac adaptor only,,the megadrive psu is 10v not 5v,as for the screen itself parts you can see propley, and other parts are s crambled ,sometimes you can see the characters fin but when they move they go scrambled ,its verry random, the ntsc adaptor ive got is 5v its capable of 230v so im tempted to cut the plug off and put a uk plug on,what do you think

bcfczulu; Don't know about the adaptor mate..

..Perhaps you could take a few pictures of the problems you're experiencing and post them in this thread? It might help to diagnose the fault.

MKL - Xian Xi ; Would I be correct in thinking that the systems which run from 5v lack a voltage regulator? If so, would bcfczulu be able to check the console PCB for the presence (or lack of) a voltage regulator? Therefore telling us whether to use a 5v PSU or a higher voltage PSU?
