You're right about the fact that it probably wouldn't get much traffic but if it would, it'd be great.

Fuck this autumn break is boring, 12:30pm and I got jack shit to do, can't wait for this to be over.

Mindlessly pacing my flat and refreshing forums yay :D

I like the idea of an oldtimers café but I don't think we should restrict it to certain join dates or even hide it from other users. We've been there and tried that, and it didn't really work out.

What's more, some people who were here in 2k or 2k1 lost their passwords and then created new accounts or their accounts got locked/garbled/merged or crippled during the move from the old board software UltimateBB to vBulletin, thus the join date of quite a lot of older members is wrong. Caris/Dash is a good example for that... I guess this would lead to endless "why not me?!" PMs... :)

I think this is a great idea for you all. I would only suggest that once someone like Kernow goes into this old timers forum, he is not allowed to leave. :D

I really can't think of anything oldtimer-related that couldn't be posted in General as well.

A hidden forum only leads to good-old-days or OMG n00bs!! banter, which may be amusing at first but gets stale quickly.

An interesting idea, but really.. what do we have to talk about anymore? It's all been said, it's all been done. All we have now is lightly veiled sexual innuendo and flaming newbies and we don't need a private forum for that.

the idea of a forums just to reminice about 6-7 years ago on the intenet.
think about that one for a minute.
i mean really, it's not like we're war vets or anything.
besides. i'd rather talk trash about idiots in the forums where they could read it.
