OK here is our problem, we got two Neo-Geos’ and on both of them we have been fixing. Right now our main concern is that we have turn up the sound as much as we can on systems (which are on the PCB both a MV-4F) and can’t hear a thing. There is a slight sound when playing a game but everything has to be quite for you even to hear it and most of it is not even audible. So, what is wrong?
Here is a twist to, both MVS have headsets and when you plug a set in the sound is perfectly fine. It great! My bro, think it a good idea to take the wires to the head sets and switch them for the speakers. I stop him, because the speakers have 3 wires (which I think is just in/out/ground) and the head sets have 4 (I think again two set of in/out). I didn’t like the idea but if it would work, I wouldn’t mind. But, I would like to get at the real root of the problem with the sound.
