Third Strike Issue

I just had my Third Strike Battery swapped by BillD420 (thanks Bill), but when I boot my cab up now it comes to a CPS3 screen that says:

"Now reading the CD Rom Please Wait"

It basically is just "stuck" at this screen. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I found the issue.

Thanks I was missing a connection to the CD Rom.

Now it's time to play some Third Strike!

Glad you figured it out. I was gonna suggest reseating the cart. I can't tell you how many times I've had to do that due to the "not enough RAM" screen, when there damn-well was more than enough RAM. I've had my game lock up at the CD screen too, and reseating the cart fixed it up.

Rule of thumb when it comes to CPS3... if ANYTHING shows up on the screen other than a black screen or garbage, you're straight. Every other problem is fixable by changing the order of the simms, or reseating the cartridge. Very rarely I've encountered straight up dead motherboards.
