I'm seeing that to access the cheat menu and such on the universe bios you have to hit start plus select......What do you do if you have a 1 slot motherboard? do you hafta add a select buttor or is that even possible?

You can also press start+coin (if you have a coin button. You can add a select button though too :)

Well, the easiest way is wiring the select button, that is in fact present even in 1-slot boards, in pin 26 of the JAMMA harness if I remember well.
