This may not be an mvs-specific issue since I have a converted cab, but with this forum's knowledge base on arcades in general, I believe you guys may be able to help.
When I turn on the cab, the game is automatically registering a credit. I don't believe there is a dip switch setting for that (hard of soft). My fist thought was that upon turning the cab on, the inrush current, though relatively small, is large enough that it's triggering the part of the board that registers credits. I know it's a small issue but when I turn the cab on, the first thing I want to hear is the neo-geo jingle.
It brings me back to the days of going to the bowling alley or the local arcade.
The other issue is when I insert a credit (either drop a quarter in or use my finger to push down the arm of the microswitch), it's giving me two credits. I am 100% sure I changed the dip switch setting to 1 quarter = 1 credit. It seems like it's giving one credit when the arm is pushed down, and a second credit when the arm is going back up and returning to it's original position. Again, a small issue...just wondering what could be causing this.
If anyone has had these problems or has suggestions on how to remedy them, I would like to hear them. Thanks!!!
