CPS2 A Board Pin Problems

I have a japanese CPS2 A board that has 1 pin broken off. Because of this there are missing lines on the screen it isn't that terrible but I would like to get it fixed. I was just wondering if it was possible to fix it or do I have to my a new mobo?

It's fixable but would require you removing the broken pin and replacing it with just something similar. I've seen an A board with a sewing needle. So I guess you do what you gotta do.

As a temp fix you could always run a jumper wire from A to B

How would I do that?

Simply take an ohmmeter and find a pin that goes to ground... take a soldering iron and heat up the solder joint enough that you can pull that pin out of the connector.

Then desolder the broken pin and put the good one you pulled out in its place.

Run the boards without covers and find point A and point B and connect them.

I was going to do what channelmainiac suggested but now I have another issue. I had Xmen vs street figher running in my cab I turned off the cab. Changed the CPS2 B board and was going to play some Street Fighter Alpha but when I turned the cab back on all I got was a dark red screen. So first thought was because I just got the SFA today that the battery went dead, so I put XMVSF back on the mobo and the same problem but a dark blue screen this time. I cleaned the jamma connectors and even plugged in my neo geo 2 slot just to make sure the monitor wasn't dying but no luck. Any sugguestions on how to fix this new problem to get my A board working again?

My Xmen COTA did the same thing when I got it, I had to get it phoenixed.

I fixed it the boards weren't pressed together enought. Tomorrow I will try channelmaniacs advice. Xian Xi my XVSF almost looks as good as yours. Got it with the A board for $63 included shipping on ebay, another steal

I've got an extra A board if you want to replace it. PM me if you're interested ^_^.

I tired what channelmanic suggested but it didn't fix it. It must be something wrong with a trace or something.
