Alright I dusted off my 2-slot today since I got my Uni Bios in the mail. (thanks Raz) Anyway when I fire it up I hear the annoying ass speaker in my Super Nova so I just go in and cut the wires to it. I start playing and I relize that the game sounds like shit. I doubt it is the contacts because the colors and such are on par with my home system/phantom with the same cart. Could haveing cut the wires to that extra dinky speaker have mattered? Could it be something totally different?

what kind of speakers are you currently using?
off the headphone jack or off the jamma edge?

Jamma edge.

I've got it sounding fine now. The volume was 2/3s up and I relized the volume on the TV was pretty low. So I just turned the volume way down on the board and up on the TV and it sounds fine. Odd though the volume at 2/3s power shouldn't have that kind of affect.

Not to get too off topic, but does it matter if you use the headphone jack or the JAMMA connectors for the sound? I use the jack right not because it was so much easier (just stick a headphone to rca converter in the jack and you're done), but I wonder if I might get better sound by using the JAMMA connectors.
