JAMMA Adapter

Looking for someone to fabricate a simple Atomiswave to JAMMA adapter for me. Basically just a JAMMA extension cable with extra wires for the extra buttons. I used to have one but unfortunately, some who I let borrow it... "lost" it.

Why do I want one you ask? Simple enough to mod the cab's harness, but an adapter like this would allow me to drop in an AW in any of my cabs in a snap.

BTW, I'm pretty bad at soldering... so I'd prefer someone with the "experienced steady hands" to take in some money and output this device. :lolz:

PM me with any offers and thanks in advance!

Why would it be a jamma adapter? Arent the extra buttons coming off a different output on the board with a much smaller harness that you would connect to the buttons themselves or another pre-fabbed harness?

There is no stock "kick harness" a-la CPS1/CPS2 for AW. I'd rather not mod the mobo for a "custom fabbed" kick harness or mod cab harness itself. I'd like to keep it all stock.

So the "adapter" would work like this:

Stick the AW mobo on one end of the "adapter", stick the cab's harness on the other end of the "adapter", take the extra wires coming off the adapter and plug them into the cab's buttons.

Voila, no mods to the AW mobo, cab harness and I can transplant the setup to another cab in 5 minutes or less if needed. Again I used to have one of these, but a guy who was gonna make a copy of it for me for use in another cab at my buddy's pad lost it. The source where I originally bought it from is no longer around.

Interesting, so for the atomiswave all the buttons you need come off the jamma edge but they're just not jamma compatible?

Sounds really easy to make. I'd make one if I had the time.

How do you connect them to your buttons, quick connects?

The AW wiring is just like a neo (4 but) + 1 extra button per player I believe.

Quicks.

Thats a super easy one to make then. You should really make it yourself.

Perhaps a male connector to connect a CPS1 or 2 kickharness for the D and E buttons?

I was thinking more of a jamma edge connector+fingerboard and take the extra pins and wire them to quick connects, then basically on the existing quicks where you want the buttons to go to to just use a Y shaped quick disconnect or something like that.

Kinda like the one I made for my external video encoder.
