My 4 slot big red cab is acting wierd. Runs fine for a few hours then I get what you see in the pictures. Credit LEDs are flashing on and off, but the screen stays pretty constant. After a few minutes the mobo goes back to the start up neo geo flash screen and all is good for another couple of hours. I am pretty sure it's something to do with the cab (power supply maybe) as I have pulled the mobo out and put it in a gold cab and had no problems. I have also put a 2 slot and a 1 slot in the big red and had no problems there either. It's only when the 4 slot is in the big red that I get problems.

I had similar problems out of the blue (my cab had never so much as reset in the few months i had had it)and it was only when i realised that i think i had 4 of the most MEG heavy games in,(SSVS, Strikers,Pulstar and Blazing Star)When i realised and changed one of them for a low meg game it hasn't done it since. May not be related but just something to try i suppose.

I'll have to try that out then. Currently I have SS2, KOF 98, MOTW, & KOF 03 in it. Never thought about that being the problem, but I had the same games in the mobo when I had it in one of the other cabs and had no problems.

Yeah, the MEG count's probably a long shot if the MOBO works in another cab, perhaps the Big Red needs a little more power as it runs a 1-slot and 2-slot ok as i assume these will need slightly less power than running 4 games.

Sounds like poor regulation on the power supply and or a low 5 volt rail.
If you have another supply handy - try that first ;)

I'll try that out thursday morning and let you know what I get. I'll pull the power supply from one of the golds and pop it in there.
