Yesterday, while playing my Atomiswave board & Demolish Fist on my Supernova the video began to distort and become garbled after about 3 hours of play.
The S-video cable connecting the Supernova to the TV (Sony LCD) became very hot, could this be the issue? If so, any fixes? Thanks.

The S-video cable should NEVER get hot. If it's getting hot then you have a ground loop.

What are you using to power it? Are the AC plugs polarized?

Yes the AC plug is polarized (three prong, wide, narrow, round pin). I bought the supernova from MAS direct, I can open it up and take a picture if that would help. As to what I'm using to power it? You are referring to what kind of power supply? I have the TV, Stereo and Supergun all plugged into a Monster brand surge protector. Thanks for your help.

Channelmaniac, thanks for your help. Googled "ground loop" and I think I found my problem. TV and MAS system plugged into different outlets. Both are now plugged into the surge protector and haven't had any more issues. Thanks again.

You're welcome!

You really should go buy one of those little diagnostic plugs with the 3 lights on them that tells you if your outlets are wired correctly. I'm wondering if you don't have a miswired outlet on the wall.
